Microsoft Project Foundation Training is an introductory class that will prepare you to effectively use Microsoft's popular application to plan and track projects. Our web-based class combines voice narration and lively animation to actually simulate the way the software works. Interactive exercises let you test your knowledge of program interfaces, features, and functions.

MS Project Foundation Training provides a thorough grounding in all major aspects of scheduling with Project. (If you already own MS Project, you can work with it as you go, but you do not need a copy of the software to take this course.)

In this class you'll learn how to:

  • Read and analyze Gantt charts
  • Rapidly turn task lists into Gantt-based project plans
  • Use Indentation and Summary tasks to create a Work Breakdown Structure
  • Set meaningful dependencies between tasks
  • Calculate and manage the Critical Path
  • Assign resources and analyze resource utilization
  • Perform concurrent, real-time status updating--even with widely dispersed teams
  • Set up hotlinks to web pages and supporting documents on the company intranet
  • And much, much more!
